ANDIAN MODELS TURRET TENDER part five

The building of this kit comes to an end with painting and weathering. The paint used is self-etch black thinned 50/50 with self-etch thinners then sprayed carefully making sure the coverage is even.Weathering is covered in a previous post. Then a final coat of dullcoat and left overnight to dry.Coal is added and left to set. I will replace the coupler with a longer scale head whisker Kadee as the one supplied is a bit short for buffered rolling stock. The kit is well thought out although care and patience is needed so take your time if you are going to build one.

  1. Worth all the effort in the end though, Pete. It’s a looker!

Pete, Tender looks great. Very rewarding for Andrew and I to see some of our models finished as well.
    Well done.
