Just a few more photos of the silo and goods shed area.
Inspirational! Love the scenic work. I learn a lot from looking at the pics. The ‘minimalist style’ is well suited to capturing the outback NSW landscape. Please keep posting pics & updates & best wishes with the progress of your layout.
Hi Mark.Thank you for your kind words.I have started to add a bit more detail but I won’t over do it so I’ll keep it simple.Peter
I love the way you’ve used subtle tones throughout the layout – nothing is too garish or stands out where it shouldn’t. The paint work on the silo is excellent – how did you do that?
Look forward to more updates.
Thank you for your comment.I have tried to reproduce the dusty country New South Wales look on the layout. The silo you mention was built by Kieran Ryan of Kieran Ryan Models back in 1994 and has waited all these years to be placed on a layout. The paints used are Tamiya flat acrylics airbrushed on for the main colour and then thinned for weathering in conjunction with pastel chalks. These days there are kits available of the various types of silos used in NSW.Regards Peter
