Wheat train leaves Burrowa

5048 leaves the goods yard with a consignment of wheat for the mainline and the world beyond. The 50 class locomotive  is from Mansfield Hobbies which is now over 25 years old. The RU wagon is from Trainorama and a detailing kit from Ian Lindsay Models has been added. Four BWH bulk wheat hoppers are also Trainorama RTR, with a Trainorama PHG. I weathered all the rolling stock with diluted  Floquil grime, mud and grimy black paint. Then pastel chalk for that dusty look was applied, and changing the wheels to Steam Era rp25 code 88 for a better appearance then Kadee 58s were fitted to all the wagons. I have been working with the Noch static grass applicator using Polak 4.5mm static grass via the internet from Polakmodel.com  (models@quicksolutions.ie), 8308 green/yellow mixed with 8309 straw with a dash of 8212 green brown to vary the appearance and I am quite pleased with the result.
